GTA 6 Just Had Its Netflix Moment. Your Console Can Wear Los Santos Right Now.

GTA 6 just got its Netflix moment

Rockstar ran an extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6 through Netflix ahead of the game's November 2026 launch. A game trailer, treated like a television premiere. That doesn't happen often in gaming, and it says something about how big this release already is before anyone's played a second of it.

If you caught it, you already know what the next few days looked like — timestamps getting frozen, billboards getting zoomed in on, three minutes of footage getting rewatched more times than most people watch actual movies.

Putting a game trailer on a streaming platform built for shows and films is its own kind of statement. It tells you Rockstar isn't treating this as a niche release for people who already follow gaming news — it's aiming at everyone who has a Netflix login, which in India is a lot of people who don't normally sit through a gameplay reveal.

The GTA 6 skins aren't live yet. We'd rather say that plainly.

We're building two things for GTA 6 — a console skin and a DualSense controller skin, the same pairing GTA V gets. Neither is ready. We're not putting a date on it, because Rockstar's own release date has already moved once, and we'd rather ship something real than promise something early.

What's ready right now is the game that made GTA 6 a headline in the first place. Grand Theft Auto V — still the best-selling entry in the series, still the game every "is the sequel bigger than this" comparison gets measured against.

Los Santos, twelve years in

GTA V came out in 2013 and hasn't really left. It's the reason the open-world crime genre looks the way it does now, and it's the reason a Netflix trailer for its sequel could pull the internet's attention for a full news cycle.

Our tribute skin is built around that — sun-bleached Los Santos artwork across the front of your console, not a generic decal stretched over whatever shape happens to be underneath.

Cut for your console, not close enough

Every panel is precision-cut for the exact model it's going on. The GTA V console skin ships separately mapped for PS5 Standard, PS5 Slim, and Xbox Series S and Series X — each with its own vent and port layout, not one shape forced to fit four consoles.

The material is bubble-free polymeric vinyl with a polymeric overlaminate, 100–120 microns thick. That overlaminate is the layer doing the actual work — it takes the scratches, the sun, the years of hands brushing past it — while the artwork underneath stays exactly as printed.

Application needs no heat gun. Five steps, a squeegee in the box, and it's done on a flat console panel.

PS5 or Xbox, disc or digital — it's mapped for yours

GTA V's console skin isn't sold as one shape for every box. It's cut separately for PS5 Standard Digital, PS5 Standard Disc, PS5 Slim Digital, PS5 Slim Disc, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, because those six consoles don't share a single port layout between them.

That's the difference between a skin that lines up with your vents and disc slot on the first try, and a generic wrap that leaves you trimming edges with a hobby knife. You pick your exact console at checkout; the panels are already cut for it.

The controller is where the hours actually go

The console sits on a shelf and gets looked at. The controller is in your hands for every heist, every chase, every mission you reload the second it fails.

The DualSense version carries the same artwork, cut around the sticks, face buttons, and ports. It's the one skin in the lineup that needs a brief low-heat step to mold into the controller's curved grips — because it's the only shape in the catalogue that isn't flat.

Both come off clean when you want to switch designs later. Whoever buys the console or controller off you next won't know a skin was ever there.

Console, controller, or both

You don't need both to make the point. A skinned console next to a bare controller still looks deliberate — it's a start, not a mismatch.

Doing both just means the whole setup reads as one decision instead of two. If you've got a second DualSense for co-op runs, the controller skin is sold for one or two controllers, so both pads end up matching instead of just one.

Why bother now, with GTA 6 still months out

Because there's nothing to wait for on the GTA V side. The design exists, the stock exists, and dispatch from India happens within 24 hours of ordering.

And because when the GTA 6 skins are ready — console and controller both — they're going on top of a setup that already looks like it belongs to the series, not a bare black box and a bare pad getting skinned for the first time the week the game drops.

Worth saying plainly: this is SUBUMI's own tribute artwork, not an officially licensed Rockstar product. We're fans making something for other fans, not claiming a partnership that doesn't exist.

What we'll say when GTA 6 actually ships

That both are ready, and where to get them. That's it — no pre-order page for either one yet, no countdown, no date we'll have to walk back later.

What we can tell you is that Los Santos doesn't have to wait for November to show up on your setup. Start with the console games collection if GTA V isn't the only title you want to skin — Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, and a dozen others are cut with the same precision, sitting in the same lineup, ready before the sequel is.
