GTA 6 just got its Netflix moment
Rockstar ran an extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6 through Netflix ahead of the game's November 2026 launch. A game trailer, treated like a television premiere. That doesn't happen often in gaming, and it says something about how big this release already is before anyone's played a second of it.
If you caught it, you already know what the next few days looked like — timestamps getting frozen, billboards getting zoomed in on, three minutes of footage getting rewatched more times than most people watch actual movies.
Putting a game trailer on a streaming platform built for shows and films is its own kind of statement. It tells you Rockstar isn't treating this as a niche release for people who already follow gaming news — it's aiming at everyone who has a Netflix login, which in India is a lot of people who don't normally sit through a gameplay reveal.
November is still two months out. That's a long stretch to keep hearing about a game your setup gives no sign you're waiting for.
The console skin is real
We built a GTA VI PS5 console skin around that neon, sun-and-crime aesthetic the trailer leaned into — bold color, high-gloss finish, cut for the front of your console instead of stretched over it.
Right now it's cut for PlayStation 5 Standard and Slim, Digital and Disc. If you're on Xbox or you want the matching DualSense skin, that part isn't out yet — more on that below.
What's actually on the console
Same build as everything else in the lineup: bubble-free polymeric vinyl with a polymeric overlaminate, 100–120 microns thick. The overlaminate takes the scratches and the years of hands brushing past it, while the artwork underneath stays exactly as printed.
Precision-cut, edge-to-edge, with exact cutouts for every port and vent — not a generic decal sized to roughly fit. No heat gun needed. Five steps, a squeegee in the box, done.
Original art, not a screenshot stretched over a box
It's not GTA V's Los Santos artwork with a "6" tacked on. It's a separate design, built around the neon-and-heat look the extended look leaned on — closer to the trailer's palette than to the game that's twelve years old.
That distinction matters for the same reason the material spec does: a skin that looks like an afterthought undersells the console it's on. This one was built specifically for what GTA 6 looks like right now, not recycled from whatever fan art was already sitting in a folder.
Standard, Slim, Digital, Disc — it's mapped for yours
The GTA VI console skin ships separately cut for PS5 Standard Digital, PS5 Standard Disc, PS5 Slim Digital, and PS5 Slim Disc, because those four consoles don't share one port layout. You pick your exact console at checkout; the panels are already cut for it.
Comes off clean when you want to switch designs later, too. Whoever buys the console off you next won't know a skin was ever there.
Orders dispatch within 24 hours from India, with free shipping. That's the same handling every other skin in the catalogue gets — nothing special-cased for this one, nothing slower either.
The controller skin is coming. We're not putting a date on it.
We're building a DualSense skin to match — same artwork, cut around the sticks, buttons, and ports, with the brief low-heat step every controller skin needs to mold into the curved grips. It isn't ready yet.
Rockstar's own release date for GTA 6 has already moved once. We'd rather ship the controller skin when it's actually done than promise a date we might have to walk back.
If you want a matching controller today, the Grand Theft Auto V DualSense skin is live now — different game, same series, same precision cut.
Why the console skin, before GTA 6 even ships
Because the console is the part of your setup people see first, and there's no reason it has to stay bare for another two months while the internet keeps talking about the trailer.
It's also the cheaper, faster way to make the point. You don't need the game in hand to have an opinion about it, and you don't need to wait for launch day to have a setup that looks like you do.
Worth saying plainly: this is SUBUMI's own tribute artwork, styled around the reveal, not an officially licensed Rockstar product. We're fans making something for other fans, not claiming a partnership that doesn't exist.
What's next
The controller skin, when it's ready — no pre-order page, no countdown in the meantime. If Xbox demand shows up, that's the next thing on the list after that.
Until then, the console skin is live in the new launch collection, next to whatever else just landed. Los Santos doesn't have to be the only Rockstar city on your shelf anymore.
